LOS ANGELES – Today a major freeway in Los Angeles had traffic backed up for miles while crews cleaned up an unusual mess.

According to NBC Los Angeles, a big rig hauling 42,000 pounds of honey created “one sweet mess” when it overturned on the 605 Freeway.

The spill forced officials to close down four lanes through the city of Industry.

Aerial footage showed the honey leaking out of the big rig.

According to the California Highway Patrol, no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
