Cowgirls Hope To Top Undefeated Notre Dame In Sweet Sixteen

The Oklahoma State Cowgirls will face a tough test in the program's third ever 'Sweet 16' appearance versus undefeated Notre Dame on Saturday, March 29.

Not only will Jim Littell's group try to hand the Fighting Irish their first loss of the season, but they will have to do so inside Notre Dame's home arena.

Notre Dame advanced to the 'Sweet 16' for the fifth straight year after picking up their 34th win of the seasonĀ in a 17 point victory over Arizona StateĀ in the second round of the NCAA women's tournament.

OSU advances to play top-seeded Notre Dame after taking down Purdue 73-66 in the second round.

The win gave the Cowgirls their 25th win of the year, making for the third best season total in school history.

Senior point guard Tiffany Bias suffered an ankle injury versus Purdue, but told reporters that she expects to play versus Notre Dame.

Bias has made 110 consecutive starts at OSU, a streak that dates back to her freshman season in Stillwater.

The 'Sweet 16' battle will tip off at 1:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, March 29.
