OKLAHOMA CITY – A convicted sex offender was arrested in Oklahoma City after authorities say he failed to register with several states, including Oklahoma.

In 1996, Stanley Jones was convicted of forcible rape in San Diego.

Following that conviction, Jones was required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

He had warrants issued out of Louisiana and California for failure to register as a sex offender.

On March 28, U.S. Marshals learned Jones was hiding out in Oklahoma City.

They say he was using a fake name and social security number.

Deputies arrested him on Monday without incident.
