Man arrested for alleged shootout on wheels in Oklahoma City overnight

OKLAHOMA CITY – One man is in jail accused of shooting out his car window at another vehicle.

It started just before 2 a.m. near S.W.4th St. and Meridian.

According to police, a security guard in the area saw a man driving down the street, firing shots at another car.

The security guard called police and gave the description of both vehicles.

The suspect took off but the driver of the target vehicle decided to follow him.

Police eventually caught up with both vehicles and stopped them at the 7-Eleven near S.E. 66th St. and I-35. Shootout on wheels car

The alleged shooter was arrested on three counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

Police found a gun and several shell casings inside the car.

According to police, the suspect was trying to buy some kind of drugs from the three people inside the other car.

Nobody was hit and no damage was done to the target vehicle.
