Oklahoma grandmother, grandchildren scare alleged attempted burglar

CHICKASHA, Okla. – Police are searching for a man who allegedly broke into a woman’s house with her grandchildren inside.

Chickasha police were called to a home in the 400 block of S. 13th St. after the woman inside said her grandchildren saw a man with a goatee knocking on windows and jiggling door handles.

While officers were on the way, she called back said the man had gotten into the home through a window.

When she confronted the suspect, she said he ran out the back door.

Fortunately, the woman and her grandchildren were not injured during the break-in.

Authorities say the man was caught on the home’s surveillance system before making it inside the house.

Police are asking for help identifying and finding the man.
