OKLAHOMA CITY - An 18-year-old girl and her unborn child were gunned down in northeast Oklahoma City.

Police found the victim in a parking lot late Sunday night along north MLK.

The deadly shooting apparently started with a fight, although it is unclear what sparked that dispute.

The victim in this case is identified Latisha Shaw.

She was 4 months pregnant at the time of her death.

Police are now calling it a double homicide.

"We came home and had blood on the doorsteps," said Thomas Rivas. "I don't know where it came from. The police told us last night not to come outside."

Thomas Rivas scrubbed blood off his steps.

A trail of blood could be found around the entire neighborhood near NE 28th and MLK.

That is where police say the victim and her friends got into a fight Sunday night.

Moments later, walking south on MLK, someone gunned down the teenage victim in the parking lot of the Oklahoma City Housing Authority.

"At this point in the investigation, what we know is that she was at a residence, when some sort of altercation broke out," said Oklahoma City police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow. "She left and was walking on MLK when she was shot."

The victim does not have a criminal history.

On Facebook, friends of the victim's family expressed shock, disbelief and sorrow.

"I feel sad about that," said Rivas. "I've never seen this before. It's my first time seeing anything like this."

Thomas does not know the victim but hopes whoever pulled the trigger is quickly caught.

So far no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information on the murder is asked to call the homicide tip line.

That number is (405) 297-1200.
