Update: The famous rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar has been cancelled.

The show was originally scheduled to be at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on June 23.

All purchased tickets will be refunded.

OKLAHOMA CITY – A famous rock opera is coming to the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Jesus Christ Superstar will be making a stop in Oklahoma City on June 23, for the biggest ever North American arena tour of the musical.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, April 11 at noon on Ticketmaster.

Tickets will range from $39.50 to $149.50 with a limited number of Gold Circle seats and VIP Experience packages available.

Grammy nominated lead vocalist of rock band Incubus, Brandon Boyd, is confirmed for the role of ‘Judas Iscariot.’

NSYNC’s JC Chasez will play ‘Pontius Pilate’ and Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams will take the female lead as ‘Mary Magdalene.’

The Sex Pistols lead singer, John Rotten Lydon, will play ‘King Herod’ and British actor Ben Forster will revive his role as ‘Jesus.’

More than 50 cast members and musicians will join the star-studded cast on stage during the national tour.
