OKLAHOMA CITY – April is finally here, and to celebrate, the Myriad Gardens will be hosting a variety of events throughout the month.

Every Tuesday Evening
5:45 – 6:45 p.m.
Yoga with Alexis Persico
through June
Water Plaza Room or Under the Pavilion
$5 members; $10 nonmembers

Everyone will be able to enjoy this all-levels Vinyasa-style class that will take place under the Pavilion.

Participants should bring a yoga mat and water.

You can pay online, or on-site.

Every Wednesday in April
10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Bringing Books to Life
Lobby of the Crystal Bridge
Best for ages 2-5

Every Wednesday children can enjoy hearing the nature-themed stories.

After the story, they will also be able to enjoy crafting time.

Seeking Wonderful Volunteers:
Volunteer Information Session

The Myriad Gardens are always looking for volunteers to help them out throughout the spring and summer.

Volunteers have many opportunity including leading tours, teaching and helping with education classes, as well as administrative projects.

Refreshments will be provided at the orientation.

This class is great for anyone interested in learning tips and tricks for designing a planting bed.

The class will go over everything from designing your own beds, to how to prep the soil.

See the rebirth of The Survivor Tree after the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.

The 100-year-old American Elm is a symbol of Oklahoma City’s strength through its continued growth.

Houseplant Propagation

$15 members; $20 nonmembers
Instructor: Casey Sharber, Director of Horticulture

Learn how to propagate plants like the experts so you can grow more and spend less.

Participants will learn about a variety of propagation methods including the use of leaves, stems and roots, and other methods like air layering.

Children can enjoy activities, egg hunts, and visits from the Gardens Easter Bunny!

Festival of the Arts

The Arts Council of Oklahoma City’s rite of spring returns to the Gardens with visual, performing and culinary arts. Visit artscouncilokc.com for details.

Full Circle Dog Obedience Course

Open to Non-aggressive dogs 16 weeks old and up
$75 for members; $90 for nonmembers

Learn to teach your dog how to sit down with hand signals, focused attention, sit and down, stay, come when called, walking on a loose leash, and other fundamental training methods to have a quick, responsive dog at your commands.

All dogs must have up to date vaccinations and shot records available, and no aggressively behaved dogs.
