Earthquake Alert: Residents, officials report moving and shaking Monday morning

OKLAHOMA CITY  – Residents across Oklahoma reported a bit of shaking on Monday morning as an earthquake hit the area.

Initial reports from the Oklahoma Geological Survey say a 4.4 magnitude quake was recorded shortly after 11 a.m.

Officials say it was focused just south of Langston and east of Guthrie.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports it was a 4.0 magnitude quake.

Several people across the state took to Twitter to report what they felt.

At this time, minor damage is being reported.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Several aftershocks are being reported.
