Toyota issues massive recall for 6 million vehicles

A new warning for millions of Toyota owners.

The car company is announcing a recall of more than 6 million vehicles.

The recall includes 27 Toyota models produced between March 2012 and August 2013.

Some of the models involved include the following:

  • Camrys
  • Pontiac Vibe
  • Subaru Trezia
  • RAV4
  • Corolla
  • Yaris
  • Highlander
  • Tacoma
  • Hilux
  • Reiz
  • Fortuner
  • Innova
  • Land Cruiser Prado
  • Matrix
  • Viz

Toyota says it wants to inspect and replace some car parts if necessary, including seat rails, steering column brackets, air bag cables and engine starters.

Currently, the company says it is not aware of any accidents or injuries connected to the car parts.
