OKLAHOMA CITY – While all eyes are focused on the end of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s regular season standings, analysts are already looking ahead to the NBA’s MVP award.

According to ESPN, LeBron James, a four-time MVP, is praising Kevin Durant.

He told ESPN, “I would say he’s the most consistent basketball player as far as the MVP this year, man.”

Durant recently surpassed Michael Jordan’s record after scoring at least 25 points in 41 consecutive games.

He fell just two points shy of continuing the record after scoring 23 points on Tuesday against Sacramento.

James added, “If he’s rewarded with the MVP, it would be great. It would be awesome for him, for his family. He’s played MVP-type basketball.”
