OKLAHOMA CITY – Construction work is causing traffic troubles for Oklahoma City drivers, backing up lanes on a busy interstate.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, the westbound I-44 on-ramp from northbound Lincoln Blvd. is closed until 6 a.m. Monday for an ongoing bridge rehabilitation project.

Additionally, eastbound I-44 is narrowed to one lane between I-235 and Lincoln Blvd. as part of the project.

Officials are warning drivers to allow for extra travel time or use an alternate route, such as I-40.
