An Oklahoman serving time in federal prison for exposing classified government information has been chosen as the honorary grand marshal of this year's gay pride parade in San Francisco.

Army Private Bradley Manning, who now goes by Chelsea, grew up in Crescent, Oklahoma.

Manning is seeking sex-change treatment while she is behind bars.

Last year a military judge found Manning guilty of espionage for turning over top secret military documents to Wikileaks.

Manning was also chosen as the honorary grand marshal of this parade last year but that decision was rescinded after backlash from some members of the military and the gay community.
