GUTHRIE, Okla. – It was a beautiful and historic day in Guthrie.

Tens of thousands of people joined the fun of Guthrie’s 89er Celebration today.

One of the highlights of the 89er Celebration is the parade through downtown Guthrie.

In fact it’s the largest parade in Oklahoma. “The parade is so large it lasts over an hour and a half from start to finish. It has been a fabulous week already.  And today, of course, is the culmination. It’s the 125th Anniversary of the Land Run of 1889,” said Steve Gentling, Chairman of the 89er Celebration.

Also visiting the 89er Celebration was Bob Moore Chopper 4 and pilot/reporter Jon Welsh to show fans the helicopter and sign autographs.

The 89er Celebration wraps up tonight with a big barn dance in the American Legion Hall.
