OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahomans may see some colorful eggs falling from the sky today.

“30,000 Easter Eggs, to be dropped from a Helicopter in OKC”

On Saturday, April 19th, Highpointe Church will be hosting it’s third annual “OKC Egg Drop”.

The OKC Egg Drop is the most exciting version of the traditional Easter Egg Hunt, where 30,000 easter eggs will be dropped from a helicopter onto a grass field located behind the church.

After the helicopter has safely left the area, kids will then be allowed onto the field to collect the eggs.

The OKC Egg Drop is the largest of its kind in the Oklahoma City metro area. This free event will also feature food, drinks, games, giveaways and much more at no charge.

“It’s simply a way for us to give back to our community,” says Steven Jeffrey, Worship & Communications Director at Highpointe Church. “We absolutely love this city, the people in it, and what’s more fun that 30,000 easter eggs being dropped from a helicopter? Everybody always has such a great time.”

Last year’s event, the team at Highpointe dropped 15,000 eggs from a helicopter and saw over 1800 people on campus.

“We start getting calls about this time of year, asking about our helicopter egg drop,” says Jeffrey. “We actually decided to double the size of the event this year to accommodate the demand we’ve received. That’s a great problem to have!”

The event is free and will take place at 4pm, Saturday, April 19th, at Highpointe Church.

Highpointe Church is located at 6810 NW 122nd Street, near Rockwell in Northwest Oklahoma City.
