UPDATED: Lanes back open after accident shuts down westbound lanes on I-240

UPDATED: According to officials, the car has been cleared off the roadway and all lanes are back open for drivers.

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Highway Patrol has had a busy week working several accidents on Oklahoma highways. The latest is from I-240 near south Walker.

According to OHP, the accident happened just before 12:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

When crews arrived to the scene they found a vehicle accident in the middle lane of the interstate.

Crews shutdown westbound lanes for over an hour in order to clear the wreckage.

According to officials, the driver of the vehicle is in good condition.

No word on what caused the accident.
