Arts festivals popping up across the metro

EDMOND, Okla. – It is that time of year again and art festivals are springing up across Oklahoma.

Oklahoma City’s Festival of the Arts kicked off today and will go through April 27.

The next local festival will follow a few days later.

On May 2, the Downtown Edmond Business Association is preparing to host their 35th Annual Arts Festival in historic downtown Edmond.

The event is free to the public and will feature more than 100 artists as well as live entertainment.

The festival will have activities for the whole family, including face painting, inflatables, and food vendors.

This year the event will benefit Lilyfield Christian Adoption and Foster Care, an organization that provides comprehensive services to women in unplanned pregnancies, couples wishing to grow their families through adoption and foster families and children.

The Downtown Edmond Business Association hosts an Annual Arts Festival each year in Downtown Edmond that support artists from around the country.

The festival will be May 2 to May 4, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
