Meet your local soccer team, Energy gearing up for first home game

OKLAHOMA CITY –  Soccer fans will have the chance to meet and interact with their local Oklahoma City soccer team.

OKC Energy FC players, as well as Energy’s coach Jimmy Nielsen, and owners Bob Funk Jr. and Tim Mclaughlin will be at a downtown rally on Thursday, April 24, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The “Power Up Lunch Rally” is free and open to the public as part of a week of activities leading up to the team’s first home game on Saturday, April 26 at Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School.

The first 100 people to arrive to the rally at Leadership Square wearing team apparel will receive a $5 gift certificate to use at Leadership Square eateries.

Those who attend the rally can have their photo taken with the team as well as enjoy live performances from bagpipers and a drum line featuring Kindie rock duo, the Sugar Free Allstars.
