ATLANTA (WXIA-TV) – A church in Georgia is celebrating the life of a little boy who was kidnapped and released after singing a gospel song.

Earlier this month, 9-year-old Willie Myrick was kidnapped from his driveway.

According to WXIA, Willie sang the gospel song, “Every Praise” for nearly three hours while the kidnapper drove around.

The kidnapper told the boy to “shut up.”

However, Willie kept repeating the lyrics, “God my savior, God my healer, God my deliverer.”

Willie said, “He was probably irritated of me singing.”

Eventually, the kidnapper pushed Willie out of the car and he was able to get help.

Authorities say the kidnapper is still on the loose.
