(Memphis, TN)—

It’s officially the lowest-scoring 1st half of the entire season for the Oklahoma City Thunder as they trail the Memphis Grizzlies 44-36 at intermission of game #3 of their NBA Playoff series in Tennessee.

The Thunder started off shooting very poorly as Memphis took a 24-18 lead after the opening period. OKC turned it over several times in the 1st quarter and Memphis stymied Thunder all-stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook most of the half. Durant has just as many made field goals (4) as turnovers, but he leads the Thunder with 12 points. Westbrook has 9 points and Serge Ibaka added 8.

But the Memphis bench, which dominated OKC in the game #2 win in OKC Monday night, is doing it again here at “the Grindhouse”. Former OSU star Tony Allen leads Memphis with 10 points and the Grizzlies second unit has outscored the Thunder reserves 20-4 at halftime.

For the series, the Thunder bench is now 12-50 shooting and backup point guard Reggie Jackson is just 2-16 shooting in the series.

Game #4 in the series is Saturday night at 8:30pm, also here in Memphis.
