UPDATE: Grass fire in northwest Oklahoma City spreading through field

According to officials, the fire has been contained. Crews are still on scene checking hot-spots.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Fire crews are currently battling a small grass fire in Oklahoma City.

Shortly before 1:15 p.m., authorities were called to a field near John Kilpatrick Turnpike and Hwy 66 after reports of seeing smoke in the area.

Both Oklahoma City and Yukon Fire Departments are working together to contain this fire.

Officials say the fire has spread across approximately 3 acres at this time.
