Trooper injured after patrol car hit by house

SHAWNEE, Okla. – A highway mishap injures an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper.

A trooper’s vehicle was rear-ended by a truck carrying a large house.

It happened just before 12 p.m. east of Shawnee, along Hwy 3 and Rock Creek.

Officials say the trooper was escorting the house as it was being moved when the oversized load shifted, hitting his vehicle.

The trooper was treated and released from the hospital.

However, the house didn’t get off so easily.

No word on how much damage it sustained.
