17-year-old accused of poisoning grandmother’s collards

NORTH CAROLINA – A Fayetteville, North Carolina teen is accused of poisoning her grandmother’s collard greens as revenge.

The girl was allegedly upset her phone was taken away.

Authorities say the 17-year-old poured insecticide and termite killer into a pot of greens on Easter Sunday.

The grandmother and a family friend got sick.

After being treated at the hospital, the teenager allegedly confessed to the poisoning.

The 17-year-old is charged with attempted first-degree murder.
