Domestic disturbance call ends in police chase

NORMAN, Okla. – The Norman Police say they were involved in a chase early Saturday morning.

According to police, around 2:30 a.m., the Norman Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance in the area of the 100 block of East Mosier.

Officers say they discovered that there were a number of crimes being committed at the residence, including felony drug charges and counterfeit money violations.

One of the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle and a police pursuit was initiated.

After several miles, the suspect went off-road and crashed.

Authorities say the suspect was taken into custody without further incident and treated on scene by emergency medical personnel.

According to police, the suspect faces a variety of charges to include Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Obstructing an Officer, and Felony Eluding a Peace Officer.
