OKLAHOMA CITY – In September, Maati Ra Meah-Urit was arrested for driving under the influence, according to court records.

The arrest affidavit shows her blood alcohol content was 0.19 on the first test and 0.18 on the second.

Officials say she was out on bond and failed to appear in court in April.

On Wednesday, bounty hunters cornered her at her work.

According to the Oklahoma City School District, Meah-Urit is a teacher at Southern Hills Elementary School.

Tierney Tinnin, the district’s spokesperson, released the following statement:

“The District was made aware of the issue this afternoon and will begin an investigation into the alleged complaints involving a Southern Hills Elementary teacher; disciplinary action will be taken pending the outcome of the investigation. We have spoken with the principal and she did not reveal any information regarding the health of the teacher in question. The Oklahoma City Public School District will always cooperate with law enforcement and take steps to ensure the safety of students and staff.”

Meah-Urit has bonded out of jail again on the same complaint of DUI.
