NORCROSS, Ga. – Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a Waffle House.

Police said a man entered the restaurant armed with a pitchfork.

The suspect herded the employees into the stockroom with the pitchfork and then attempted to open the cash register.

When he was unable to do so, he picked up the cash register and left the restaurant.

As he was leaving the parking lot, he tripped and dropped the pitchfork.

After a scuffle with two Waffle House employees, the man drove off and abandoned his truck miles down the road.

Police identified the suspect as Jeffery Wooten and obtained warrants on an armed robbery charge.
