Large grass fire contained in Cleveland County

According to officials, the fire has been contained. Crews are standing by checking for hot-spots.

CLEVELAND COUNTY, Okla. – Officials said a large grass fire sparked just after 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Fire crews responded to the 20000 block of Banner Rd. near N. 3290 Rd. near Noble.

According to officials, the call came in as a 911 call that got transferred to Noble.

Two crews are on scene including Cedar Country Fire Department.

Fire crews say the fire poses a threat to a nearby residential area.
