Grass fire spreads to building in N.E. OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY – High fire danger has crews fighting multiple grass fires across the metro.

The latest blaze has crews battling a burning building in N.E. Oklahoma City.

Officials were called to the area of 2100 E. Britton Rd. near Eastern Ave. shortly after 3:00 p.m. Sunday on a grass fire.

When they arrived on scene, they realized the fire was inching closer to a nearby 400 ft. metal building.

Officials say the fire spread, catching the building on fire at approximately 3:10 p.m.

Oklahoma City fire crews are on scene and have called for additional help.
