SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTXL) -Thousands of people celebrated Free Comic Book Day across the globe but hundreds poured into the World’s Best Comics and Toys store in California.

Store officials say many people were lured into the parking lot by three teenagers cheering at a nearby intersection.

The trio was dressed as Fred, Barney and Wilma from the Flintstones.

Store owners say the teens are thieves who stole the store’s “Flintmobile” in December.

Authorities later found them and the stolen vehicle.

However, officials never pressed charges.

Instead, the store asked the three to dress up as Flintstones characters and work on the busiest day of the year.

From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., the three teens danced, waved and held signs.

Since the theft, extra chains and locked have been added to the back tire of the Flintmobile.
