OKLAHOMA CITY - Officers say a 71-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly threatened another man with a meat cleaver.

Witnesses say 71-year-old Earnest Lee Robertson was naked and blocking traffic.

When a neighbor drove into the street, he asked Robertson to move out of the way.

One neighbor said, "I was on my way home from a class I was taking when I noticed a naked man in the middle of the road. I yelled at him what are you doing? There are kids outside. You need to go inside and put some clothes on."

According to the arrest affidavit, Robertson had a meat cleaver in his hand and came toward the man's car.

The driver said, "He was pointing the meat cleaver at me and took a step toward me.  I told him if you take another step toward me it's going to be a life or death situation for one of us."

Police arrived and took Robertson into custody.

The neighbor doesn't think Robertson was out to hurt anyone.

"I don't think he had any sexual intentions to the children or was trying to do them any harm.  I think he was just confused and needed some help."

Robertson faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon and indecent exposure.
