Gov. Fallin declares May 6, 2014 as “Kevin Durant Day”

OKLAHOMA CITY – After Kevin Durant was named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player, Gov. Fallin has proclaimed May 6, 2014 as “Kevin Durant Day.”

The proclamation says, “Kevin Durant’s character, both on and off the court, is an exemplary illustration of the Oklahoma standard and Kevin Durant’s commitment to leaving a positive impact on our state is worthy of great admiration.”

The proclamation says it is fitting to honor Durant’s accomplishments by naming a day after him.
