OCEAN CITY, NJ – A Realtor becoming known as the “real estate agent of the year,” allegedly wrote a very candid note to neighbors near million-dollar homes he or she is trying to sell in New Jersey.

The elderly neighbors received the note by mail; their granddaughter found it and posted it on Facebook with a lengthy response of her own.

In the note, the agent stated the neighbors, who are in their 70s, park their car sideways on the lawn and it is hurting property value.

The Realtor told the neighbors they have a driveway so they should use it.

According to, the neighbors, Bill and Barbara Doughten, have lived there for decades.

Stephanie Powley, the granddaughter, let the Realtor have it on social media.

In one part of her page-long diatribe she wrote:

“I think it’s safe to assume that your sales aren’t low due to where people park. I’m betting the fact that you’re not doing such a great job selling homes is because you’re a pretentious douche bag. “
