Update: 2-month-old reported missing found and returned to her family

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – A police department in Texas is searching for a missing 2-month-old child and an Amber Alert has been issued.

The Stephenville Police Department says it is working a child abduction that occurred around 10 a.m. Friday morning.

Sgt. Sha King said the child’s mother had just pulled up to their home and was unloading another child when a stranger approached.

The child’s mother says 2-month-old Addalie Christensen was unbuckled but still in her car seat.

That’s when the suspect walked up, grabbed the infant from inside the car and ran off.

The suspect is described as a white female in her late 30s to early 40s.

She weighs 200 to 300 pounds with shoulder length light brown or dark blonde hair.

She was last seen wearing a blue or black bandanna in her hair, a long-sleeve white top  and blue jeans.

The child is described as a 2-month-old girl, who was last seen wearing a dark blue onesie with red and white stars.

She also has a red bow in her hair.

The suspect was last seen running down the street with the child.
