Taking mom downtown for Mother’s Day? Officials warn your commute could take longer

OKLAHOMA CITY – Planning on taking mom out for dinner downtown? Downtown traffic officials say your commute could take longer.

Several roads are under construction in the downtown area.

Officials want to make it as convenient as possible for you to avoid roads that may be undergoing construction.

Here is a list of the roads to avoid when traveling downtown:

East bound lane of Main closed between Robinson and Broadway on Friday, 5/9 for commercial building construction.

North bound lanes of Robinson closed between Sheridan and Main on Saturday, 5/10 for commercial building construction.

Walker reduced to one north bound lane from Sheridan to Reno for private utilities.

NW 4th closed between Hudson and Harvey for commercial building construction. Closure anticipated to last until mid June.

The intersection of Kerr and Robinson is closed to traffic.

Kerr closed to traffic between Robinson and Broadway.

Harvey reduced south of Park. Two way traffic maintained.

Main reduced from Shartel to Lee for the construction of the new police headquarters.

Couch closed to traffic between Robinson and Broadway.

Robinson closed between Kerr and Park and McGee and Kerr.
