EDMOND, Okla. - Three people were arrested after allegedly attempting to steal from a police station.

According to Edmond Police, a father, his daughter and her fiancé went into a police station to steal old prescription medications from the "drop box."

"Drop Boxes" are often placed inside law enforcement agencies and serve as a safe place to drop powerful medicines you no longer need.

Edmond Police say the suspects were caught putting their hands inside the drop box and stealing the discarded medications.

Jenny Monroe from the Edmond Police Department said, "It takes a lot of guts to come into the lobby of the police department and think that you're going to get away with stealing narcotics out of our lobby."

Richard Andress, Hollie Andress, and Matthew Waller now face felony charges of Larceny of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.
