NORMAN, Okla. – A mother of an OU professor says she got the ‘best gift ever’ for Mother’s Day when she found out she was going to be a grandmother.

Brian Dobbins is an assistant professor of music at the University of Oklahoma and decided to tell his mother the good news in a special way.

Dobbins and his wife took his parents out for lunch and gave her an early Mother’s Day present.

The present consisted of a picture of the happy couple holding a pregnancy test.

Dobbins says this is his mother’s first grandchild.

Dobbins’ wife is due in December.
