Officers use stop sticks to bring OKC chase to an end, suspect in custody

OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities say one person is in custody following a short chase.

Officers attempted to pull over a vehicle near N.E.14th St. and Kelham on Sunday evening but the driver refused to stop.

He led them on a short chase but didn’t make it very far.

Police were able to use stop sticks to puncture two tires on the passenger’s side.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the chase.

However, officers say they soon learned why the suspect may had been running.

Authorities with Oklahoma City police say drugs were found inside the vehicle.

The suspect was taken into custody on Sunday evening.

His name has not been released.
