Oklahoma woman dies after being hit by car on local highway

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Authorities say a Weatherford woman is dead after she was hit by a car along a state highway.

On Saturday night, officers were called to Hwy 54 in Washita County after learning about an accident involving a pedestrian.

Officers say 23-year-old Kasey Lougee was driving her truck along the highway when she got into an argument with her husband, who was sitting in the passenger’s seat.

Lougee pulled the truck onto the shoulder and got out of the vehicle.

According to the accident report, she was hit by another car in the southbound lanes.

Officials say she was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
