One in custody after police chase that led officers across the city

OKLAHOMA CITY – Police have taken one person into custody following a chase that led officers across the city.

Shortly after 5 p.m., officers attempted to stop a white pickup truck along I-44.

Initial reports say at one point during the chase, the suspect was going approximately 110 miles per hour.

The truck eventually exited near Classen Blvd. and made its way to N.W. 48th St. and Classen Blvd. before the driver pulled into an apartment complex and ditched the vehicle.

He started walking away but was quickly apprehended by officers.

No word on why the driver decided to flee.
