JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WTLV) – Law enforcement agencies are warning residents across the country of something you probably never thought about, your bumper stickers.

Officials say stick figure decals of your family on the back of your car can alert thieves to how many people will be inside your home and even if they need to worry about guard dogs.

They also stress that putting stickers from your child’s school on your car will tell burglars the best time to break into your home, like when you are dropping a child off or picking them up from school.

They also say adding a sticker of someone in military tells thieves part of your family is probably not at home a lot.
