TEXAS – A school bus driver in Texas is accused of holding a student captive.

The girl says he molested her, but not before trying to cover his tracks.

What was supposed to be a routine trip home from school reportedly turned into a frightening ride for the 12-year-old girl.

Carlos Guzman is accused of holding her captive, touching her inappropriately, and kissing her on the neck.

Co-workers say they are shocked.

Police say the girl tried to block Guzman’s physical advances with her violin and backpack.

Court documents show he told her he really liked her and that he said “I know you’re only 12 but we could be together.”

Guzman’s neighbors and in disbelief. And his family isn’t commenting.

Police say Guzman hugged the girl and kissed her on the neck as she pushed away.

Investigators say the 44-year-old man finally drove her to her bus stop after about 20 minutes.

Ordering her not to tell anyone what happened.

Guzman is charged with felony unlawful restraint, but authorities say more charges could be coming.

Guzman has been fired by the school district.
