SAND LAKE, Mich. (WXMI) – A family in Michigan is looking for a relative who hasn’t been seen since the 1930s.

Now, they are turning to Facebook to find him.

Christian Oliver Dann was last seen in 1937 and has not been heard from since.

For the last 77 years, his sister has been wondering what happened to him.

Now, her granddaughters are hoping they can help solve the mystery.

Barbara Cook, 96, has a few black and white photographs that help keep the memory of her brother alive.

Christian was 21-years-old and was anxious to explore life outside of Michigan. christian

His final letter came from Arizona.

Cook said, “He traveled all over. He used to ride the rails when we were kids to see the country. One day, I had a letter and said, ‘If I don’t freeze traveling over the hump, I’ll see you in a couple weeks.’ Never heard from him since.”

Cook thinks she may have seen him once, decades later, but was not able to reach the man she saw.

Cook’s granddaughters created a Facebook page to ask for information about Christian, who would be 98-years-old.
