CHICKASHA, Okla. - Police say they found meth and marijuana just feet from an Oklahoma playground.

Authorities say they were tipped off after a young girl claimed Christopher Smiddy was spying on her through a peephole.

Smiddy is in the Grady County Jail and is also accused of having drugs inside his home and taking pictures of the girl without her knowledge.

When police arrived at his home, he told them there were no drugs inside his house.

However, he ended up showing officers a pipe containing marijuana he had inside his pocket.

He would not let police inside until officers got a search warrant.

"We did get a search warrant, and there were some electronic devices taken from the house, possibly a computer to see what else was possibly on there," Chickasha Police Major Elip Moore said. "We did locate some pictures that he had taken."

Those pictures were of the girl.

They also found more marijuana, meth and a peephole.

Officials say Smiddy's home is located within 1,000 feet of a school.

"If somebody gets to the point where they may be taking inappropriate pictures or are a stalker or peeping tom with kids, there are bigger concerns," Moore said. "That could grow from that to something potentially even worse where there's actual physical contact. Who knows where something like that could lead."

Smiddy is facing several charges including drug and peeping tom charges.
