Temps to climb to the 80s and 90s for most of the week

Fire danger returns this week due to dry conditions and strong winds.

Breezy south winds tonight will keep our temperatures very mild in the 60s and 70s.

For most of the week afternoon temps will climb to the 80s and 90s making it feel like summertime!

Moisture streams back into the Sooner state late in the work week dropping back the temperatures a few degrees and making it feel muggy.

An upper level low cut-off from the rest of the jetstream will slowly meander towards Oklahoma by the end of the week.

Right now models show showers and thunderstorms Friday through Tuesday bringing a batch of beneficial rain!

Areas in western Oklahoma could see some much needed heavy rainfall with the highest rainfall totals.

Although widespread severe weather is not expected, a few storms could be strong.
