Massive beef recall could foil Memorial Day BBQ plans

DETROIT – Over a million pounds of ground beef is being recalled after it was linked to E. coli infections in four states.

According to NBC News, Wolverine Packing Co. is recalling 1.8 million pounds of ground beef products that were made between March 31 and April 18.

The affected products have the establishment number “EST. 2574B.”

The products were distributed for restaurant use in Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio.

At least 11 people are sick in four states with E. coli infections.
