Texas shut out Oklahoma State 3-0 on Thursday night in the Big 12 Baseball Tournament at the Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, dropping the Cowboys into a losers' bracket matchup with Oklahoma on Friday.

The Longhorns quieted the OSU bats, and got just enough offense to get the win.

Kacy Clemens, the son of former major league pitcher Roger Clemens, singled home a run in the second inning to give Texas a 1-0 lead.

It stayed that way until the 8th when the 'Horns got two more.

Clemens grounded one up the middle and the ball was fielded by Tim Arakawa, who attempted to throw to second base for a force out.

The throw was wild, however, and two Longhorn runs scored to make it 3-0.

Texas advances in the winners' bracket in Division One and will play at 12:30 on  Saturday.

The Longhorns will meet the winner of the OU-OSU game and will have to be beaten twice to keep them from making the championship game.

The Cowboys and Sooners will play at 7:00 Friday night in an elimination game.

It will be the seventh meeting between the Bedlam rivals this year.

OSU won three of five during the regular season, then beat OU 13-4 in the first round of the Big 12 Tournament on Wednesday.
