OKLAHOMA CITY – With school winding down, kiddos are going to be looking for things to do.

The Third Annual Kidathlon  and Summer Kick-off Family festival will both take place on Saturday, May 24 at Will Wogers Park, 3201 N. Grand Boulevard.

The Kidathlon is for children ages 5-13. Kids can test their mettle during the Parks Department’s Third Annual Kidathlon. This swim, bike and run starts at 7 a.m. at the Will Rogers Family Aquatic Center. Children of all abilities are welcome to participate.

Participants will be grouped by age, and each age group will compete at different distances. Participants must bring their own equipment, including swim wear, bicycle and helmet, and running gear. Helmets and close-toed shoes are required for the bicycle portion of the event.

The Kidathlon costs $30 per participant, and includes a t-shirt and certificate for the age group winners.

Event packets may be picked up from noon-7 p.m. on Friday, May 23 at the Will Rogers Family Aquatic Center, 3201 N Grand Boulevard.

Family Festival:

Games, a photo booth, face painting, zumba, basketball contests and performing arts are just part of the family fun during the Parks Department’s Summer Kick-Off from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. The Kick-Off is free to the public and no registration is required.

While there, young visitors can grab a Kick-Off Passport and collect stamps for various activities. Once all stamps are collected, participants can turn in their Passport for a prize.
