WASHINGTON – The White House scrambled to fix a mistake that was sent to thousands of media outlets this weekend.

According to the Washington Post, the CIA’s top officer in Afghanistan was identified when his name was accidentally included on a list of senior U.S. officials participating in a surprise visit by the president.

The White House saw the mistake and immediately handed out a revised list that did not include the “Chief of Station” title.

No word on whether the officer will be forced to leave the Middle East as a result of the mistake.
