Traffic is starting to move after a semi accident on I-40 westbound just west of I-44.

Officials said the outside westbound lane is back open.

The ramps from I-44 are still closed.

The highway has been shutdown since about 2:15 a.m. when a semi hit the center median and bust into flames.

Officials said the semi may have blown a tire and that is what sent it into the median.

Luckily the driver was not injured and no other cars were involved.

Authorities have not said when they expect traffic flow to be back to normal.
