You’ve heard of the dated song, “I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.”

Police have released a recording of a woman allegedly calling to request for help due to the lack of sprinkles on her ice cream, according to reports.

The woman contacted West Midland’s police emergency line after allegedly arguing with the ice cream vendor.

During the minute-seven long phone call, the woman told the operator: “Hello, I’m sorry to ring … it doesn’t seem like much of an emergency … but it is a little bit because I’ve ordered an ice cream, and the person is basically giving me ice cream where he’s put bits on one side and none on the other.”

The dispatcher explained to the woman that that’s not a good enough reason call and that it is a civil matter.

“I cannot stress enough that the 999 number is for emergencies only.”

Authorities have not released the name of the caller.
